Single Parents Soaring is a community of parents who are doing the difficult job of parenting solo. We meet regularly for support and fun as a family. Our mission is to encourage and sustain a network of 'extended family' who understand as perhaps few others can, the challenges we face. We welcome you to join our community where we hope you and your child(ren) will find friendship, emotional support and encouragement from others just like you.        

This group is for parents of children with food allergies ages birth-preschool. We have organizers from Chicago and Fox Valley, so we offer events in both areas. Perhaps you are breastfeeding and you are on a restricted diet, your baby is on a special formula, or your toddler has food allergies and you are figuring out how to plan meals. Hyde Park Area Parents is a group for moms and dads who discuss the "fun" of parenthood, plan meet ups, socialize, and create a community for our children. While our kids become friends, we can have conversations. Playdates, story time, parties, lunches, museums, classes, MOMMY/DADDY NIGHTS OUT- just some of the fun meetups in store. Parenting is far from simple, so why not have support from the mom you see at Starbucks or the dad who frequents the same park as you?
